A name or place entered in a search box is sent to the outside company that provides that tool. The provider processes the query and supplies its results. We do not keep a separate site log of the terms typed into those boxes.

An email or other direct message may be retained long enough to respond and maintain the exchange. It is kept within the operating team unless disclosure is required by law.

It explains how to reach the Perquimans County sheriff and clerk, Albemarle District Jail, the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation, and the North Carolina Sex Offender and Public Protection Registry. Visitor data is not assembled into a consumer report or a file about another person, and this site is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies operate the search boxes. Information submitted there is handled under that provider's privacy terms, retention rules, and sharing practices. Review those terms before sending a query because this policy does not control the provider's systems.

Links may lead to the sheriff, courts, state agencies, legal resources, or outside search services. Once a visitor follows one, the destination's own privacy policy applies. Read it before submitting personal details.
Advertising companies may use their systems to measure activity across sites and select ads. Their tracking practices are governed by their terms rather than this policy.
